This Thursday, August 1st, a food drive has been set up to help those affected by Hurricane Barry.

Aetna Better Health Louisiana has teamed up Second Harvest Food Bank of Lafayette for the food drive to be held at Broussard Harris Recreation Center this Thursday, August 1st from 1-3 P.M.

According to KATC, non-perishable meal packages will be distributed to the first 600 victims.

"In St. Mary Parish, many were affected by flooding and damage to their homes. Aetna Better Health Louisiana understands the difficulty during the aftermath of a storm. The hope is that this event will not only support the community but give hope to families so they may continue to focus on their health as they rebuild."
