Former Lake Charles Teacher Faces Additional Rape Charge

Deidra Smith, a former Lake Charles Charter Academy teacher who has already been arrested on 10 counts of first degree rape, is facing another count of rape involving a 10-year-old.

According to KPLC in Lake Charles, this additional charge comes out of Beauregard Parish, where she is accused of crossing parish lines with the same victim earlier this year.
