Free Native American Culture Day At Vermilionville

Tomorrow a free Native American Culture Day will be held at Vermilionville.

The event will start at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, and it will run until 4 p.m.

A variety of tribes will be represented:

  • Atakapas-Ishak & Akokisas Band
  • Pointe-au-Chien Indian Tribe
  • United Houma Nation
  • Avogel Tribe of Louisiana
  • Canneci N'de Band of Lipan Apache
  • Louisiana Attakapas Eagle Tribe
  • Isle de Jean Charles Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw
  • Jena Band of Choctaw
  • Coushatta
  • Chitimacha
  • Attakapas Opelousas Prairie Tribe

There will be be guided tours for the Healer's Garden at La Maison Acadienne, and La Maison Broussard.
