Furniture Thief Caught

A St. Martinville man accused of stealing furniture from a storage unit last Sunday was arrested today. Authorities say Matthew Sanabria was caught on surveillance video cutting a padlock and removing the furniture from a storage facility located off of Main Highway between St. Martinville and Parks. Authorties say when police arrived at Sanabria's house, he tried to escape out the back window. All the furniture was recovered.

Mr. Sanabria was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges: Resisting an Officer and Simple Burglary.
