This Guy Used Recent Flooding To Reenact Usher’s ‘U Got It Bad’ Video
This is what I like to call making lemonade out of lemons.
When your road floods, it sucks. You sometimes get blocked in. People drive like maniacs through the water, forcing the wake into your yard, or worse, your home actually gets flooded and your property is damaged. South Louisiana is no stranger to flooding and its effects.
Earlier this week, we dealt with some flash flooding here in Lafayette and surrounding areas and while it wasn't as bad as some areas were in 2016, you still saw a few folks taking on some water and temporarily being stranded at home until the waters subsided.
A few folks decided that they wouldn't let the weather get them down, so they did everything from kayaking down their street to the kids having a little splash time fun around the house. One local business that took on floodwaters did half off drinks for the rest of the day.
It reminded me of this guy in Oklahoma a week or so ago. He decided that he would use his flooded street to recreate the classic Usher music video 'U Got It Bad' and once it was posted, it immediately went viral.
I must admit, given the resources he had, he didn't do a bad job at all. Check out the original video below for reference.
Of course, I must tell you that playing in floodwaters can be dangerous, and I don't advise anyone to do it, but it still doesn't negate that this guy totally nailed this Usher routine and should be recognized for it.
