Healing House Training Volunteers This Weekend

Healing House will conduct training classes Friday and Saturday for those volunteers who want to work with families and children.

Jenee Broussard said many volunteers find their way to Healing House because they themselves have lost a parent or sibling, and this is their way of "paying it forward."

Broussard said volunteers must commit at least two afternoons or two evenings per month.

About 130 children attend support groups at Healing House, Broussard said.
