I-10 East at Whiskey Bay Down to One Lane

The Louisiana Department of Transportation is reporting congestion on I-10 eastbound due to a fatality crash.

KATC is reporting that the Louisiana State Police are confirming at least one fatality in the crash, which occurred near mile marker 125 in the Whiskey Bay area.

Although one lane is open, congestion has reached 4 miles in length (near Mile Marker 121), so expect delays when headed toward Baton Rouge.

As a reminder for motorists, passenger vehicle traffic is limited to 60 miles per hour on the Basin Bridge, and 18-wheelers are limited to 55 mph. It's a good idea to limit distractions while driving so you can pay better attention to the road and traffic around you.
