Back in July, the University of Louisiana announced new parking regulations at Cajun Field, eliminating general admission parking on the west side of the stadium and reserving those spots for Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation donors who give at least $250.oo per year to the general fund.

The area behind the Hilton Garden Inn will not be available for Saturday’s game against the Lamar Cardinals because rains associated with Isaac would make parking unsafe because of the soft ground.  So, in addition to the lack of free parking on the west side of the stadium, there will be no parking at the Hilton as well.

Free general admission parking will be available in the Cajun Field north end zone lot, the east (student side) lot, along with the Cajundome and Blackham Coliseum, which now features a lighted sidewalk area making things more convenient for fans who park there.

Taking the place of the Hilton Garden Inn will be the South Louisiana Community College, located behind the old Acadiana Technical College building (now a part of SLCC) on Devalcourt, just off Bertrand Drive.  Fans who are directed to the SLCC lot will be able to take advantage of a shuttle service which will run from SLCC to the stadium both pregame and postgame.
