Louisiana Alert: 16,000 Gallons of Ice Cream and Yogurt Recalled
(Lafayette, Louisiana) - Summer is here, and many of us are resorting to ice cream these days in an attempt to cool down, but did you know that there's a major recall on a certain brand of ice cream?
I don't know about you, but there's no better feeling during the summer than getting a few scoops of ice cream out of the freezer during a Louisiana heatwave. However, before you dig into the ice cream in the days ahead, you should be aware of this recall.
Wells Enterprises, whose brands include Blue Bunny and Halo Top, issued a recall on some of their products after it was determined that the products may contain plastic.
While no one has reportedly fallen ill or been injured from this potential contamination, the company is being proactive and wants you to dispose of the product. The product will have the best sales margin from March to October 2026.
