LA State Police Nab Houston Man With 11 Kilos Of Cocaine

35 year old Alphonse Carl Trahan Jr. of Houston, Texas is arrested today after being stopped for a traffic violation on I-10. Early this morning a Trooper from State Police Troop D in Lake Charles stopped Trahan and discovered an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Harris County. The trooper requested and received permission to search Trahan's vehicle where he discovered 11 kilos (approximately 24 pounds) of cocaine with a street value of $250,000.

Trahan was charged with failure to keep right on a multi-lane highway and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Bond was set at $30,000. If convicted Trahan faces up to 30 years in prison and up to a $50,000 fine.
