Lafayette Marshal Makes Fugitive Arrest

According to Lafayette City Marshal Earl Picard, Jacoby Norris James Broussard was arrested yesterday for failure to appear for trial on an aggravated assault charge.

Broussard was wanted for allegedly chasing an 11 year old with a knife. Broussard was also wanted on a state probation parole warrant. He had been convicted of aggravated flight from an officer and the court suspended the sentence and placed Broussard on probation for a period of two years. Broussard violated the terms of probation and left the state. The warrant for Broussard was originally was issued on March 11, 2013.
