Lafayette Parish Prisoner Who Died In Custody Identified Along With Cause Of Death

On Friday, May 22nd a Lafayette Parish Jail inmate was found unresponsive in his cell. CPR was administered but the inmate was pronounced dead by the Lafayette Coroner. The inmate had been arrested on charges of theft and resisting arrest. Today the inmate was identified as Kieg Lutgring and a preliminary report from the Coroner's Office found the cause of death to be natural causes.
