UPDATE:

Officials with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office report an arrest has been made in the shooting that happened on Country Run Drive Monday night.

Deputies have arrested 33-year-old Leo Hall on a charge of Second-Degree Murder.

Another shooting has happened in Acadiana in the last 24 hours. Valerie Ponseti with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office says their detectives were called out to the 300 block of Country Run Dr last night at around 7 o'clock.

Ponseti says one man was deceased due to a shooting. Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding that shooting.

According to officials, the victim was identified at the scene as 39-year-old Cortsy Cormier.

Ponseti says no other information will be released at this time.

In other crime news, KLFY reports there was a shooting reported by the New Iberia Police Department that happened at around 5 o'clock Monday evening.

Police officials say the shooting took place on Spencer Loop, and they are still investigating details of the case.
