ORIGINAL:

Louisiana law enforcement officials in one part of the state are working to locate a 34-year-old man who is considered a "Person of Interest" in the deaths of his mother and father.

He was last known to be in Lafayette.

What Is Known About The Homicide Case?

Officials with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office were called out to a home in the Amite area on the afternoon of Thursday, April 4, after a welfare check was requested at that residence.

When they went to the home, they found the body of a woman inside the house, and thus kicked off the search for the woman's 34-year-old son, Joshua, and the woman's 75-year-old husband, Marc.

At the time of the first public release, officials said they were looking for Marc and were worried he had been the victim of a crime as well. They also said the last time anyone knew where Joshua Brocato was located was in Lafayette.

What Happened To The Father?

As deputies continued to investigate, they were able to release the name of the 66-year-old woman who was murdered as Joshua's mother, Priscilla Brocato.

As of 6 o'clock Thursday evening, investigators say they found the body of Marc Brocato on the property of the home.

Why Are Police Looking For Joshua Brocato?

They believe that Joshua was driving a white 2014 Ford utility van. The license tag is 205 DOM. Officials say Joshua Brocato is a "Person of Interest" in the homicide investigation.

Officials are asking people to keep an eye out for Joshua. Suppose you know anything about the man's whereabouts, the van, or other pertinent information.
