Lafayette Police Investigating Fatal Shooting On Meadow Lane
Lafayette Police is asking for the public's help after a man was fatally shot yesterday in the 200 block of Meadow Lane near West Congress. It happened just before 5pm on Saturday. Investigators say the single victim was found with two gunshot wounds. He was alive when first responders arrived and was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. No suspects have been identified.

On June 27, 2020 at approximately 4:45 pm, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a suspicious circumstance in the 200 Blk of Meadow Lane.
Once on scene, officers located one victim suffering from two gunshot wounds. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the his upper torso, and the second gunshot wound his lower torso.
Medical assistance was provided to the victim prior to him being transported to a local hospital. Once at the hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
This investigation is ongoing.
