The Lafayette Salvation Army says that they need more cleaning supplies for those still cleaning after the flood.

Here's what the Salvation Army is asking for the community to donate:

  • Sports Drinks (Not Soft Drinks)
  • Bottled Water
  • Bleach
  • Mops
  • Brooms
  • Masks
  • Gloves
  • Paper Towels
  • Garbage Bags
  • Hygiene Items (soap, deodorant, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes)
  • Baby Items (diapers, formula, baby powder bottles, pacifiers)

They say that they no loner need clothes or furniture, but if you could donate any of the following items, please do so. The Salvation Army warehouse is located at 212 6th Street in Lafayette.

If you'd like to make a monetary donation by using your phone call 1-800-SALARMY (1-800-752-2769) or text STORM to 51555.

If you recall, the Lafayette Salvation Army was robbed this week and we'd like to help replenish their warehouse so that they can continue to serve those in need.
