For many people across the United States and in Acadiana, this Thanksgiving will be the first big holiday gathering for their families in nearly two years.

For a lot of Americans, it's an additional reason to give thanks this Thanksgiving. After all, being holed up during the pandemic got old really quickly. On top of that, the extended time away from loved ones took a toll on many people's mental health.
