
Louisiana Man Dead after Being Shot While in His Vehicle
Louisiana law enforcement officials began an investigation of a case Friday night after a call came in that a man was dead inside a car in the 2400 block of Catahoula Highway.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux says his agency is investigating the case after someone called 911 Friday night just before 7 o'clock in the evening to make a report about the situation.
Breaux's deputies began their investigation after responding to the scene, where they confirmed that a man was dead inside the car. The man had been shot to death.
They have identified the man who was killed as 45-year-old Codie J. James of St. Martinville. The investigation into the case is proceeding, and officials with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office are not giving any more information about the situation right now.
Breaux is asking anyone who might know the identity of the shooter or any other information that law enforcement officials need to know to call them. You can call 337-394-3071 which is the number for the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office.
