The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) has announced that its system is temporarily down, affecting services statewide. As of Monday, December 16, the OMV is unable to process driver’s license renewals, vehicle registrations, or reinstatement transactions.

In a statement shared on its official Facebook page, the OMV acknowledged the issue and stated, “We do not have an estimated time of restoration.”

The department assured residents that updates will be provided as soon as the system is operational again.
