Man Has The Nerve To Impersonate Officer
A man named Tyland Nerve, allegedly had the nerve to pretend to be an Opelousas Police Department reserve police officer.
Major Mark Guidry says, via press release, that Opelousas Police got a tip that Nerve might be in Opelousas working security. The man had outstanding warrants.
They started working the case, and they found out Nerve was potential telling people who was a reserve officer with their department. Nerve was found at the Yambilee building working a security gig. He had a handgun on him.
According to Opelousas Police Chief Martin McLendon, the man had warrants from other jurisdiction that also included one for Nerve pretending to a cop.
The Franklin man was arrested of two charges:
- Unlawful use or Possession of body armor
- Felon in possession of a firearm
