Two Shreveport men have been arrested on drug charges after they were caught with six kilos of methamphetamine.

38-year-old Anthony Allen Kellog and 41-year-old James Orville Haynes were arrested after a chase into Bossier City. They face federal charges of conspiracy to possess methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

Caddo deputies tried to pull over the car on Shreveport Blanchard Highway, but Kellog would not stop. He fled onto I-220 headed into Bossier City, During the chase, Kellog tried to toss a large black bag into the Red River, but the bag fell onto the roadway. Deputies were able to recover it. It had more than 3 thousand grams of suspected methamphetamine in it.

Kellog finally pulled over near Airline Drive and he was arrested.

While investigating the case, agents searched Haynes' home on Bullen Street in Shreveport and found more than 35 hundred grams of methamphetamine, hundreds of Xanax pills and 63 grams of marijuana and  thousands in cash were seized from the home. Agents also took possession of a boat and several several vehicles on the property.

The estimated street value of 6,572 grams of methamphetamine is $657,200.
