A local chef has announced plans to open a restaurant, "Vestal",  in the old Antler's building Downtown.

According to this story from our friends at KATC TV3, Chef RyanTrahan plans to open a restaurant he describes as "an elegant, modern space", which will include a raw bar and a cocktail bar that will feature drinks "unlike any other in the city".

Trahan, a self-taught chef recently crowned King of Louisiana Seafood has been a part of several restaurants in South Louisiana, most recently with Blue Dog Cafe.

Trahan says he hopes to open the restaurant sometime this year.
