A person is dead today after being shot at a convenience store last night after 11 o'clock.

Lafayette Police Department Spokesman Sergeant Wayne Griffin says, via press release, that all of this started after a call came in about a shooting at a convenience store in the 800 block of North University.

Officers were able to help the victim getting medical attention from first responders, but the person ended up dying after being taken to the hospital. The person had been shot multiple times.

Griffin says they are looking for the person in the photo above as their prime suspect in the case.

They want this person for Second Degree Murder.
