One Person Dead After Crash In Lafayette Parish

LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash on on Woodrich Lane.

Capt. Kip Judice with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that the driver lost control on the two-lane road and struck a tree stump off the road.

The driver was ejected and was already dead when first responders arrived, Judice said.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
