
Woman Fatally Shot Outside Louisiana Hospital
(KPEL-FM) - Baton Rouge Wednesday afternoon, Our Lady of the Lake Hospital was put on lockdown after a reported shooting took place outside in the parking lot.

BRPD Chief TJ Morse told WBRZ that the shooting happened just before 4 pm Wednesday on Hennessey Boulevard.
A female facility member was leaving Our Lady of the Lake hospital when someone shot her. Shortly after, she was rushed into the hospital's trauma unit, where she succumbed to her injuries sustained from the gunshot wound.
The hospital followed an active shooter protocol until it was lifted around 5 pm Wednesday.
This is an active investigation, and no arrests have been made yet. Additionally, the identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
Chief Morse confirmed that more information regarding the suspect will be released.
Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact the Baton Rouge Police Department.
