Pedestrian Killed In Iberia Parish

A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a truck in Iberia Parish last night.

The Sheriff's Office says the victim of last night's crash is 51- year- old Larry J. Alleman of New Iberia.

The driver of the truck, Jeremy Picard, was arrested and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail for Driving Under Suspension.

Toxicology samples have been sent to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.

The Sheriff's Office says Alleman was hit by a pick up truck in the 4500 block of Bull Island Road just after 8 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
