Road Construction Happening At Intersection Of Foreman & Congress Streets

As school is getting ready to start in Lafayette Parish on Thursday, there is some road construction to tell you about. It's happening at the intersection of Foreman and W. Congress Streets, which is right by Lafayette High School.

There's no official word on how long the construction will last.

In Lafayette Parish, if you have a question about which school bus your child will ride you can call their designated phone line of 531-RIDE Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

In addition to Lafayette Parish, public schools in St. Landry and Vermilion Parishes, as well as Pre-K and Kindergarten students in Iberia Parish Public Schools will be reporting Thursday for their first day of school.
