Evangeline Downs Cleared After Gas Line Rupture (UPDATED)

UPDATE: According to the Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino Facebook page, Centerpoint Energy has officially cleared them as it relates to the gas leak. They expect to be able to reopen the gates to the boulevard and casino by 11:00 p.m.

KLFY-TV is reporting that a natural-gas line has ruptured near The Evangeline Racetrack & Casino in Opelousas.

The casino has reportedly been evacuated and several roads in the area are now closed. There is a massive responsive to his very serious situation off of I-49 in Opelousas.

No injuries have been reported, but we will continue to follow this breaking news story.
