Shreveport records 30 homicides in 2010

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Shreveport recorded 30 homicides in 2010, the lowest yearly tally in the city since 2006.

There were 37 homicides in 2009 and a recent high of 41 reported in 2007, according to the Shreveport Police Department Annual Crime Reports.

The homicides in 2010 include a suspected burglar who was shot by a homeowner, a woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, and several men accused of killing their girlfriends.
