Youngsville – Simone Champagne of Youngsville and recent candidate for Mayor-President announced today that she is endorsing fellow Republican Candidate Josh Guillory in the November 16th Mayor/Presidents race.

“I am very humbled and grateful for the outpouring of support I received in this election," said Champagne. "I want to thank everyone! I would also like to congratulate Mrs. Alm-LaBar and Mr. Guillory as well as the other candidates for offering themselves for public service.”

“My belief is and has always been that we must get back to the basics of what Government should be doing for you, our citizens. It’s not complicated if you use common sense and focus on priorities. I have stayed consistent in this message throughout my campaign. I am grateful that our message about Drainage as the number one priority in this campaign resonated with all the candidates in this election. Now is the time to act on these campaign promises. I have met with both candidates in the Mayor/President’s November 16th runoff. Mrs. Alm-Labar and Mr. Guillory, and both are very nice people. However, I believe that my political philosophy aligns closely with Mr. Guillory’s. Mr. Guillory has promised to keep his promise to you the taxpayers that he will not support any new taxes and will make sure that your protection with drainage issues and public safety will be his top priorities. Therefore, I am supporting Mr. Guillory in his quest to be our next Mayor/President! I will continue to stay involved in doing my part to make sure our Parish moves forward with your best interest, the citizens, at heart!”
