Traffic Alert: Old Spanish Trail Bridge in Scott to be Closed

Motorists who travel through the City of Scott will need to make an adjustment to their travel plans if their normal route includes Old Spanish Trail. A bridge that crosses Coulee Ile Des Cannes will be closed beginning today for rehabilitation and repairs.

Because of the needed repairs the roadway, Old Spanish Trail, will be closed between Apollo Road and Jenkins Road beginning this morning. The roadway is expected to remain closed for approximately three months while the rehab work is being done.

The press release from Lafayette Consolidated Government explained that detour routes will be clearly marked. Local access will be maintained as well.
