On Monday March 25, Congressman Clay Higgins' office will be hosting workshop for veterans in the city Rayne.

The Veterans Administration works to help veterans, but sometimes, the system can be very complicated and convoluted.

If you have casework to ask questions about or you need help getting services, then this is for you.

As a veteran, you are entitled to multiple benefits.

Workers from the Louisiana Attorney General's Office, the Louisiana Workforce Commission and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs along with staff from Congressman Higgins' office will be there to help.

If you have questions about the following issues you should go to the workshop:

  • What is the legislation that affects the VA that is pending Congress
  • How to register for job search services
  • How to file or check the status of a disability claim
  • How to sign up for medical benefits
  • How to apply to get into a State-run veteran's home

The Veterans event will be held this coming Monday, March 25 at the Rayne Civic Center which is located at 200 Frog Festival Drive.

The workshop begins at 11 o'clock that morning and ends at 3 in the afternoon.
