This year is Games of Acadiana’s 20th anniversary. Miles Perret Cancer Services has something really special planned this year to celebrate. They’re hosting a virtual scavenger hunt. For 20 days, all of Acadiana will be turned into a huge playground. How do you play? It’s easy. Players can download a free app, you perform all the fun tasks, and you earn points for a chance to be entered into a drawing for great prizes. The Grand Prize is $10,000.

The scavenger hunt consists of approximately 50 missions. Each mission has a certain point value. The goal of the scavenger hunt is to perform as many missions as you can to accumulate the number of points required to earn entries into the drawing for prizes. The hunt is FREE, but entries can also be purchased for $20 each, starting July 15th.

All you need to do to join the virtual scavenger hunt is download the free app from Google Play or the App Store. The app will be available for download on July 15. You will be able to start playing the game on August 1st at 8 am. The over 50-million scavenger hunt includes tasks such as submitting photos of honored cancer survivors, videoing birthday wishes to Milesy, and celebrating life by dancing with friends and family.

The drawing will be held on August 29th live on MPCS’ Facebook page. There will be over 50 prizes awarded and each of those is valued at over $50, including a Grand Prize of $10,000. Games Across Acadiana is a new take on what has become the largest annual fundraiser for Miles Perret Center Services (MPCS).

All proceeds from Games Across Acadiana will benefit Miles Perret Cancer Services (MPCS), a local, nonprofit resource center dedicated to serving the families of Acadiana fighting, surviving, and living with cancer.
