Yesterday the ribbon cutting for the Acadian Home Builders Association 'Home for the Holidays' prize home took place at 208 Martele Boulevard.  The project sponsored by the Acadian Home Builders Association, KATC TV 3 and NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL has raised over $1.1 million for Acadiana charities over the last eight years.

Local charities supported by the 'Home for the Holidays' project include Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, Faith House, The Children's Shelters of Acadiana Youth
Inc., and St. Michael's Center for Veterans.

Each year the Acadian Home Builders Association build a state-of-the-art home that is raffled off to one lucky winner.  Tickets are $100 and are now on sale all Doug Ashy Building Supply locations, Mid-South Bank locations and the AHBA office on Domingue Street in Lafayette and at the AHBA website.
