11-Year-Old Lafayette Boy Killed In Alabama Crash

An 11-year-old boy from Lafayette was killed in a crash on the Foley Beach Expresway in Alabama Friday.

Our news partner KATC reports Cameron Michael Bailey was killed when the vehicle he was riding in was hit head-on.

Five other people who were injured in the crash were treated at a local hospital.

Bailey was a student at Our Lady of Fatima School where he was scheduled to enter the sixth grade in August.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Martin and Castille Funeral Home.

Bailey's family asks that any donations be sent to the UL Lafayette Foundation or made online for the Cameron Michael Bailey Memorial Fund to support the Ragin Cajun Baseball Program.
