
2 Louisiana Vape Shops Busted for Selling Illegal Products; $15,000 Cash + 2 Firearms Recovered
IBERIA PARISH, La. (KPEL News) - A couple of vape and tobacco shops in New Iberia, Louisiana were raided on Tuesday, March 13, 2025, by several local and state agencies as part of an ongoing investigation.
What led to the search warrant at two vape shops in New Iberia?
Specialists with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office Special Investigation Unit, with assistance from Louisiana Alcohol and Tobacco Control, executed a search warrant at Thunder Vape and Tobacco, located at 915 South Lewis Street, and EZ Cloud Smoke Shop, located at 3005 Loreauville Road, both in Iberia Parish.
Both search warrants were served as part of an ongoing investigation.

What was confiscated as part of the raid on the two New Iberia vape shops?
As a result of the operation, authorities recovered the following between both locations:
- Over $15,000 Cash
- 2 Firearms
- Dozens of illegal and unregulated products
The investigation remains ongoing. Additional information, including potential arrest charges, is expected by the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office.
A Recent Trend in the Acadiana Area
You may recall that in late February, Louisiana State Police led a joint operation that led to the seizure of illegal vaping, CBD, and gaming devices at a grocery store in Henderson, Louisiana.
The Henderson Hwy One Stop, located at Louisiana Highway 352, had the following items seized from its store:
- 716 illegal vaping products
- 154 unauthorized CBD products
- 106 nitrous oxide cartridges
- 8 illegal gaming devices
No arrests were made at the time but authorities said the investigation remained ongoing and arrests were anticipated to follow.
