6 People Arrested In Alleged Rape Of Special Needs Child

Six arrests have now been made in the alleged rape of a 12-year-old special needs child in St. Martinville.

• 20-year-old Hunter Miller
• Michelle Miller
• 19-year-old Ricky Escagne, Jr.
• 33-year-old Richarlette Leon
• 2 Juveniles

According to our news partners at KATC, Hunter Miller is accused of the rape itself - charged with First Degree Rape. His bond has been set at $250,000.00. His mother, Michelle, was arrested on Obstruction of Justice charges for allegedly hiding her son in a New Iberia motel.

Escagne has also been charged with First Degree Rape. Leon has been charged with Accessory after the fact and is the mother of the victim.

And the two juveniles have each been charged with First Degree Rape.
