Acadia Parish Authorities Looking For Boat Thief

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs your help to locate stolen property. 

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the November 5, 2010 theft of a flat bottom boat. The boat was stolen from the Mermentau Cove area. The boat was on the shore line in a cut off of the Mermentau River. The boat and motor has been painted in a camo color by the owner. The boat is described as a 14-foot Monark with a 25 horse power motor on back. There is no trailer, as the boat was being utilized on the water prior to its theft.
