Acadiana Motorcyclist Dies After Being Struck By Drunk Driver
A Church Point man was killed after being struck by a pickup truck being driven by a drunk driver. KLFY reports, 38 year old Michael Daigle was riding westbound on La. Hwy. 98 when he was struck by a truck driven by 25-year-old Holden Foti.
Foti was eastbound, and failed to yield when turning left into a driveway. The vehicles collided, resulting in fatal injuries to Daigle. Foti reportedly registered a blood alcohol level of 0.158, nearly twice the legal limit. He was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on charges of OWI, negligent injuring, and vehicular homicide.
