Accused Domestic Abuser Behind Bars

Jeramie Brown has been arrested after allegedly attacking his former girlfriend multiple times - both physically and verbally - just in the month of February.

Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodaux with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office says tips to Crime Stoppers were able to finally land Brown behind bars, after he was able to elude arresting officer multiple times.

In addition to domestic abuse battery charges and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling charges against Brown, he had several warrants out by the State Probabtion and Parole.

The Basile Police Department worked with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Department to make the arrest.
