A woman from Gulf Shores, Alabama has died as a result of a crash on Louisiana Highway 10 last night.

Louisiana State Police Troop I Spokesman, Trooper Thomas Gossen says 32-year-old Kathleen Drew's vehicle went off of the highway, and the car ended up hitting several trees.

Officials say that the woman was wearing a seat belt, but unfortunately she died because of the crash at an area hospital.

Gossen says they are investigating to determine exactly what happened to cause this fatal crash.

The car flipped over after running into all of those trees, and the car ended stopping when it was upside down.

Gossen says that Drew's passenger was not wearing a seat belt, and only had minor injuries.

Routine toxicology tests are pending.

There have between twenty-five people who have died in the Troop I area since the beginning of the year.
