Abbeville Attempted Murder Suspect Turns Himself In
Officials with the Abbeville Police Department say that a man that was wanted for allegedly shooting another man in the stomach turned himself in to police today.
According to Lieutenant Jonathan Touchet, via a press release, Dejon Mikel Chargois was accused of shooting the victim after the two were involved in an argument.
The police issued a warrant for Charois' arrest for the following charges:
- Attempted First Degree Murder
- Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities
The incident happened close to the intersection of North East Street and Nugier Street on Saturday, November 7 at around 4:30 in the afternoon.
