Baton Rouge Drug Dealer Dead In Self Defense

One drug dealer is dead and two more injured in self defense Saturday. Corporal L'Jean McKneely with the Baton Rouge police department says John Freeman was performing a drug deal when three men tried to rob him. Freeman and a 16 year old who was witnessing the robbery began firing at the robbers and killed Robert Heard. Another thief was shot in the head but survived and is in the hospital, the third got away after being shot as well.

No word on the state of the third man.

Freeman was booked for carrying an illegal firearm, but he and the teen were not charged for murder.
