Bernie & Brandon’s Trip To The Atchafalaya River (Photos)

The Atchafalaya River. It's truly one of the most beautiful places in all of Louisiana. Whether it's to fish or boat, being out on the Atchafalaya is calming and puts me in a pensive mood.

The scenery of the Atchafalaya is incredibly beautiful! And, recently, I and Bernadette Lee from "Acadiana's Morning News" had the opportunity to tour part of the Atchafalaya River courtesy of the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office. Much thanks to St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Major Ginny Higgins for setting up the trip and to Marine Patrol Deputy Curtis Lagrange for taking us on the beautiful tour of the Atchafalaya.
