Body Identified, Suspect In Custody In New Iberia

A body discovered yesterday in New Iberia has been identified as that of 59 year old New Iberia dentist Dr. Robert Chastant.The Iberia Parish Sheriff's office began a search yesterday when Dr. Chastant failed to appear at his office on Monday morning.  Chastant's body was found behind his horse stable on Sugar Mill Road after his vehicle was discovered in the New Iberia Wal-Mart parking lot.  21 year old Ismael Viera has been arrested and charged with second degree murder and is being held in the Iberia Parish Jail.  Bond has not been set for Viera.
