Breaux Bridge Woman Arrested In Stabbing Case

St. Martin Parish Sheriff's deputies arrested 26-year-old Brooke Mathis after the woman allegedly stabbed a man in the back yesterday afternoon at a home in the 1000 block of Camp Bon Ton Road in Breaux Bridge.

Police say Mathis fled the scene of the stabbing before deputies got to the scene, but the woman was later arrested at a home on Hollow Oak Road.

Mathis has been charged with the following:

• LA R.S. 14:34.7-Aggravated Second DegreeBattery(Domestic/Child Endangerment)

Mathis was then booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail.
