A mother in Cecilia, Louisiana has issued a safety reminder for those with guns after a bullet penetrated her home.
Reagan Boudreaux posted photos of the bullet that went through three walls in her home, and now she is reminding those who have guns to be safe when shooting them.
Boudreaux tells me that she supports gun ownership but wants to just remind those with guns that when you're shooting them, you should never shoot toward homes. In her social media post, which has gone viral, Reagan says no one was injured after the bullet went through her house, but she is counting her blessings today.
The bullet, which resembles one from an AR-15, went through walls and clothing in her house, and it penetrated a wall that is five feet from Boudreaux's baby crib.
This scary incident happened on Coteau Rodaire Hwy. Reagan says she doesn't feel like this was intentional, but she reminds those who are out shooting guns that they should not shoot toward a highway where people reside.
Meagan says in her social media post:
This mother in Cecilia says she is fortunate to still be able to hug her family, and she's just glad she's not planning a funeral after this scary incident. Police were notified of the incident.
Here are photos of the damage done in the house that the bullet went through.
Lastly, here's the heartfelt message that Reagan posted on social media describing the incident that could have fatally injured someone in her house.
We're glad that no one was injured in the shooting, and we applaud her for reminding folks with guns to be safe and never just shoot toward an area where homes are located.
