Charenton Driver Killed In Two Vehicle Crash
Louisiana State Police Troop I Spokesman Brooks David says that an 87-year-old Charenton man was no wearing a seat belt Monday, and he was thrown out of his vehicle after a crash.
David says the man, Lenis Clements, was trying to cross Louisiana Highway 87 from Ache-Clement Road, and his car was hit by one driven by a Franklin woman.
The 41-year-old driver, Kashonda Verret, was wearing a seat belt, and she only had minor injuries.
Routine toxicology tests were taken on both drivers.
David asks that drivers remember that wearing a seat belt can save your life.
