Child Dead In New Iberia – Four Arrested On Various Charges
Deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's office responded to a home at 516 1/2 Malain Street in New Iberia yesterday morning and discovered an unresponsive three year old child. Cause of death has not been determined yet and the investigation is on-going.
During the initial search of the home deputies discovered two children under the age of 6, illegal drugs, marijuana and a sawed off shotgun with a barrel less than 18 inches in length. Arrested at the home were:
Rayvis Frederick, 45 years old, of New Iberia was charged with Possession of schedule I narcotics, possession of schedule IV narcotics, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Donielle Frederick, 44 years old of New Iberia, was charged with Possession of schedule I narcotics, possession of schedule IV narcotics, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Josh Blanchard, 19 years old, was charged with possession of schedule I narcotics, possession of schedule IV narcotics, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of an illegally transferred firearm.
Brittany Leblanc, 21 years old, was charged with possession of schedule I narcotics, possession of schedule IV narcotics, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of an illegally transferred firearm.
