South Louisiana typically stays warm and humid, but we do see some freezing temperatures in late December and through Mardi Gras season.

Because winters in Louisiana are so short, many families can't afford to buy new winter clothes for their children each year. That’s why supporting the Coats for Kids donation drive is so important.

While we are seeing high 80's most days right now across South Louisiana, soon enough we will be bundling up to try and stay warm.

KLFY, St. Edmond’s Catholic Church Knights of Columbus and Home Bank, are working together to ensure no child or adult is cold this winter.

November 1st is the first-day donations are being accepted for Coats For Kids which supplies winter coats to children and adults in need across Acadiana.
